Our Programmes

Shine runs a Literacy Centre called Shine Zambia Reading Academy in a poor township in Lusaka, called Kalikiliki compound.

The Centre was built in 2010 and has educated thousands of Zambian children.

In addition to our main Literacy Centre, we run 2 satellite literacy programmes - our Literacy Hubs. These are in rural locations where local volunteers trained by Shine deliver our reading programme to illiterate village children

Over the last 19 years, we have helped thousands of orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia learn how to read and hope for a better future. Our success stories are a testament to the impact of our literacy programmes and the dedication of our team and supporters.
